I have a 2000 VW Jetta 4cly. 2.0L. Me and my dad gave it a tune-up, oil change, spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil, fuel filter, and air filter. The light engine light is flashing still. We didn't do all at the same time. Everyday it was something new we had to fix. I took it to get the engine light check and 7 codes came up. These were the codes P0411, P0138, P0139, P0303, P0301, P0300, P1237. The only thing I can think of is the O2 sensor. Also can you tell me what parts I would need to correct these codes. Thank you Boss Lady

After shredding a serpentine belt, my 03 eurovan pegged the temp gauge, but engine seems OK, and I stopped. After replacing belt, and clearing codes it ran fine to drive 15 miles home from mechanic. Next morning drove 500 yards and temp gauge went to 0, started running rough so I took it right back home. Towed back to mechanic, SCAN showed misfire on cylinders 3 & 5. (AllData drawing shows wrong cylinder numbers). New plugs/swapped COP but no chg. Clear code=runs good, but same problm nxt day- repeated several times now !!! H E L P

When you start the car it runs fine until it heats up then it sputters and backfires and sometimes stalls

You may have a bad coil pack - try moving two of them around and see if the misfire follows the coil pack or stays at the same cylinder. If it follows the coil pack, get a new one. If it stays in the same cylinder, inspect your spark plug wires and make sure the plug is gapped correctly.

I have a 2000 vw jetta glx vr6 went through the same issues but on mine after replacing countless things turned out to be two fuel injectors that got water down into the electrical connectors and caused them to fail. an easy way to test this is pull the top intake manifold off and test the injectors for resistance they should come out to about 16 ohms.

Go to an auto parts store and have them scan for a code. That should give you an indication of what is wrong with it.

Rough idle on a 2000 echo when warm no check engine light

If it is an ignition miss, it should turn the check engine light on and give you a code for which cylinder.
A fuel problem or mechanical problem would not always make the warning light come on. Once the engine warms up the O2 sensor gives the computer data to cut back on fuel.
You might want to check the computer for trouble codes to see if anything has been stored.

I have a 2000 vw jetta vr6 gls 2.8 and it sounds like it is misfiring but the check engine lights is not on. When I accelerate it sounds like im driving a lawn mower. What could it be?

The check eng light does not always come on when theres an issue. Take it and have it scanned anyway, I bet there is a code stored, Also ask them to check Pending codes. Pending codes are what the computer has noticed a possible concern and is watching That system, Pending codes can be saviours when diagnosing a hard to find issue

2000 VW JETTA VR6 lights on everywhere!!

Believe it or not, this could be a mass airflow issue. The mass airflow can trigger the lights the ASR and the EPC lights. When i gets really cold, the airflow sensor sends signals to the CPU to readjust the air/fuel mixture.

2000 Volkswagen Jetta VR6 Running Rough Code P1215

P1215- cyl 3 fuel inj circ short to B+

Run a resistance check on injecter #3. should be something like 15-20 ohms, or at least in the neighborhood. Better yet check a few others you might be able to get at, just be sure there's no way to mix up the connecters. If # 3 is different from the others you found your issue
