Theft light flashing when trying to start car have to keep turning key on and off to get it to go out

Hi, Do you have a secondary key to try? Do you have a different instrument cluster? If so your ECM computer needs to be programed to that cluster. Does your car start? Maybe unhook the battery for at least an hour to reset your computer if the car has an already programed cluster. I'm not sure IF a fuse (One of two-It's under the hood) would short it.

What's some warning light on the 2002 mustang Gt?

If you have a service engine warning light showing up on your instrument cluster go to Autozone and get a free diagnostic test done. They will give you the codes and explanation.

2002 mustang Gt 4.6l I changed the instrument cluster and now theft lite is flashing and car wont start. The new cluster is out of a 2003 Mustang SVT

You are going to have to get the security system reset. You will probably have to contact the dealership if you don't have the code.

  3. Remove the six screws retaining the instrument cluster assembly to the instrument panel and tilt the cluster forward.
  4. Disconnect the wiring and the bulb sockets and remove the cluster assembly. NOTE: All individual instruments may be removed and serviced at this time. To install:

Instrument Cluster lights do not go on, emergency lights steady- Sable 2002

Has anyone figured this problem out? Our 2002 Sable just started this as well...instrument cluster lights out, turn/hazard lights on when the headlight switch is turned on. This has the auto on/off switch with fog lights. This is happening in the auto and manual on mode. Any solutions would be appreciated.<br />

Instrument cluster

It is a fuse.... I paid 5 thousand dollars when I got my mustang and turned out that everytime I took a hard left it rubbed a wire and activated the theft light and the car wouldn't start. I can't remember what fuse it was but if I do I will let you know.

Gages

If its all the guages its possibly going to be in the instrument cluster itself go salvage yard and purchase a used cluster.
