Hi, Do you have a secondary key to try? Do you have a different instrument cluster? If so your ECM computer needs to be programed to that cluster. Does your car start? Maybe unhook the battery for at least an hour to reset your computer if the car has an already programed cluster. I'm not sure IF a fuse (One of two-It's under the hood) would short it.
Hello frumento,Your are describing an advance cluster failure. I have repaired many GM instrument clusters and see your issue come to my shop on a regular basics. Please visit my website for complete repair information. www.kincerservice.com Thanks Mike
Has anyone figured this problem out? Our 2002 Sable just started this as well...instrument cluster lights out, turn/hazard lights on when the headlight switch is turned on. This has the auto on/off switch with fog lights. This is happening in the auto and manual on mode. Any solutions would be appreciated.<br />
It is a fuse.... I paid 5 thousand dollars when I got my mustang and turned out that everytime I took a hard left it rubbed a wire and activated the theft light and the car wouldn't start. I can't remember what fuse it was but if I do I will let you know.
