The engine control module (ECM) monitors several emission system sensors. One or more sensors is sending a signal that is not within the preset parameters set for that sensor. The ECM then turns on the check engine light and stores a code related to that sensor. The first step is to retreive any codes stored. A parts store like Autozone can do that for you. To the best of my knowledge there is no charge for this service.
Your on board pcm or computer has found fault in the engine control system.take car to any auto parts stores.they will code scan for free.and tell you what causing check engine soon light to come on.
