Question about 2005 Suzuki Swift
We have a 2005 Suzuki IGNIS. Have had no problems with it. Today my wife gets in the car and turns the key and the engine won't start. There's a symbol of a lock that comes up that -- according to the manual -- says that the passive theft lock is on becasue the car doesn't recognize the key code. This is the original key! I'm at work and cannot leave for another 4 hours. Is there any thing you can do to help?? This has never happened before.
This key -- the orginal -- is the one that HAD the auto lock function on it but about 6 months ago it fell off the key. Don't know how as I wasn't there.
We have a 2005 Suzuki IGNIS 1.3 auto. I have problems with it. when i drived about 30 minutes on the road, suddenly my car become slowly and eventhough i push speed paddle it still slowly after that the engine car will stop,

There is a sensor in the ignition lock cylinder that recognizes the key, they do on occasion malfunction, it reads either a radio signal or a resistance value from a chip in the key, If there was a remote attached to the key then that may well be the problem as well, why until now it didn't cause any problem is a mystery, but I still think that is what caused this, my car has a key like that, and if the the attached remote is removed my car will not start.
