2008 Land Cruiser Ignition, shut off problems

Possible IAC valve bad, idle air control valve. Its located on throttle body with coolant hoses and electrical connector on it.

Replace the gas cap.

2 things first check the fuel filter make sure some ******** didnt put a raw egg in your gas tank because thats what it will do when egg hits fuel filter

second check the codes beg or borow from a local store friend or rental place they are valuable and will likely help you in the long run to diagnose the problem curent and future

This is a security problem, try using the key to unlock the pass/side door and see if it does this if it doesnt then the switch on the lock on the driver door is bad, the switch is to shut down the alarm.

check fuel pressure.

That is to show that the alarm system immobilisor is on. Shut everything off, close all the doors,windows etc. Lock the car. Then open the car using the remote handset or key and try to start the engine, if it still does not start , then you may have to take it to the dealer to check and reprogramme the system. BTW, did you disconnect the battery prior to this fault ? this would explain why the system is immobilised. Hope that helps

get your glow plug relay checked as they dont seem to be working. a glow plug problem is the most likely cause and the relay is probley the culprit

Solution is to have the shift lever in NEUTRAL when you turn the engine off. This puts the car into ACCESSORY mode.
