My car is a 1999 buick regal,it had no dash lights or floor shift light, i fixed it my self. I checked the fuses twice and they were all good then I checked the dash headlight switch.I found the problem one of the electrical pins on the switch had black around It and burned out the switch. so I got a switch from the junk yard and all the lights work great.

Brake tail lights not working

BRAKE LIGHTS AND SHIFT LOCK
Look under the dash, on the brake pedal arm. There are one or two switches that activate brake lights and/or shift unlock. Check for loose mounting nut or a missing rubber nubber. Is the brake pedal coming all the way back up? Look on the floor for something not usually found there. These switches are adjustable and it may be as simple as adjusting them. Have a helper look for brake lights on and shift lever unlocked while you push and release the switches with your finger. Depress the brake pedal to get it out of the way. Remember to set the park brake first. Could just be a bad switch or loose connector. Check fuses and the bulbs. Is shifter fully in Park?

Gear shift light indicator

Is the indicator on the floor or on the dash?I know there was a wiring problem where the wires for it would rub through on the ac accumulator that is located under the air cleaner box.

1998 dodge 1500 wont shift

first of all standard or auto i am guessing its standed standard under drivers side hood near master cylinder there is a small clutch reservoir if there isnt enough fluid it wont extend the throw out bearing far enough for a shift because the clutch pedal is hitting the floor not enough fluid to extend the slave cylinder to drive the fork second faulty slave cylinder or throw out bearing as far as the light blown dash bulb or somone snipped the wire or took the bulb out
