Question about 2003 Chevrolet Blazer
I fixed this on a '99 blazer. The buttons wear out after a while. You can spend $30 on a new switch, rewire it and be done, or you can be lazy like me and just tape a nickel or quarter where it hits. Been working for 4 years now, and only cost $0.05!

There is a button that gets depressed when you close your door - it's just like the button on your refrigerator. It may be that it is not going in far enough anymore. I had this problem and was lucky enough to solve it by adding with what I would describe as a rubber antenna cap.

Check the door buttons on each door to see if they are operational. It appears as though your problem is there. One or both of them are loose or broken and needs replacing.

the part of the door the switch hit my be worn down and you may need some type of spacer if it will go off when you push the switch all the way down

SOURCE: 1996 Blazer dome light stays on
Could be a shorted switch leaving it on, but more likely one of the door switches is not working.
Start by closing all doors securely, then open each door, locate the door switch, and press it all of the way down. Does light go out? Try each door separately, with all other doors (and rear hatch) closed.
