Can adding hydrogen peroxide to gas tank eliminate o2 sensor alarm

I wouldn't add anything like hydrogen peroxide to the gas tank, unless you want to destroy the engine. Why not replace the sensor?

Check Engine LIght on- Code PO1400

I could not find any code P01400 (normaly P codes are only 4 characters long)...

P0140 is Oxygen Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected Bank 1 Sensor 2 (most likely the sensor has gotten damp or bad gas and has corroded a bit, reset the sensor and run some gas additive through a full tank of gas. this should clear it up, but if it comes back, then the sensor might need to be replaced)

If the vehicle sat for a while and was not run, it is most likely this O2 sensor. You may also notice it running a little rougher, or going through more gas than normal.

My check engine light in my 2003 Kia Rio keeps coming on. So far, my mechanic has pulled codes for and repaired the following. A flex hose pipe, the 02 sensor, pin holes in the exhaust, the gas tank and...

1st of all did your gas mileage drop? If It's an O2 sensor your gas mileage will be about half. If the car is running normally but you can't get the check engine Light off, It may be Simple. Most cars these days have an Oil Life Sensor that needs to be reset after Oil Changes. Turn your Key On , But Do not START. Pump your Accelerator to the Floor 3 Times In 10 Seconds and turn the key off. Start It up Again And See if that was it.

The amber engine light on my Honda Civic Si 2004 (93,000 kms) comes on when my gas tank is at the half tank mark, then two lines below half tank it goes off, and then just above the empty line it comes...

The gas tank has a sensor to monitor fuel evaporation. If it determines that fuel is evaporating from the tank, the check engine light will come on. It usually is caused by the gas cap losing it's seal. Get a new gas cap, make sure it is made for your car. That should eliminate the light.

Can fueling a car while it's running cause an O2 sensor to go bad? Check engine light came on about 3-4 miles after my wife fueled the car while it was running. The code,"P0430" (Catalyst...

Your probably looking at a coincidence. The Catalytic converter inefficiency code is rarely a bad O2 sensor. The downstream O2 sensors monitor the performance of the cat. If the O2 sensor starts to switch similar to the upstream O2 than the PCM see's that as the catalytic converter not doing its job.

Since you didn't list an engine size I assume you have a v-6 or v-8 since there can't be a bank 2 on a four cylinder engine. The fact that only one bank is bad further supports that it wasn't the fuel or refueling that caused the light to come on.

I have a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse with a check engine light on. The code reads PA401 heat O2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1. If I already replaced all the O2 sensors what else should I do to fix this?

A dirty carbon canister (part of the egr system) caused by topping off your gas tank can cause this. Try not topping off your gas a few times to see if it will go out. You may have to reset the engine computer, to do so, unhook the battery for at least 20 seconds. (after you haven't topped off your gas a few times if the light doesn't go out automatically)
Make sure you have any security codes or radio codes before you do this.
If it doesn't go out then the O2 sensor in that bank will have to be replaced again. If you replace it again, do not top off your gas tank.
Make sure you use the correct heated sensor, some places sell universal ones that do not work right, or in some cases at all.

Explanation: Topping off your gas (overfilling) can cause raw gasoline to run into the egr system causing all kinds of problems on some models. In some cases, raw gas can run into the exhaust when the engine is warming up, over time, damaging the front O2 sensor/s. When the gas pump stops, do not add more to attempt on getting the most gasoline in your tank.

Replaced o2 sensosor, SES light back on

If he used a "universal" O2 sensor, you could have a wiring problem. I had the exact same behavior on a Mazda MPV. The universal O2 sensors have to be crimped to the old sensor connector, which can cause problems. You can check the wiring closely, or insist that he use an OEM sensor, which will have the proper connector attached.

Check Engine Light Comes on Intermittently

The P0141 code points to the O2 sensor heater circuit. It could be that there is a short in the wiring to the O2 sensor or it could be that the O2 sensor heating element itself is bad. The code is for O2 sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2. Bank 1 means its the O2 sensor connected to the exhaust pipe that runs to cylinder #1. Sensor 2 means that it is likely the O2 sensor after the catalytic converter on the same exhaust pipe.

Service engine light is on code 0421

Your number 1 O2 sensor is bad replace it. this is the O2 sensor attached to your headers. Could be faulty sensor or the air/fuel ratio is offset. But replace the sensor its not running effeciently.
