Question about 2008 Acura Mdx

1 Answer

Acura MDX '01. When A/C turned on, fan has buzzing sound and when turned up higher, sounds like baseball card in bicycle spokes. I'm sure it's debris (leafs, etc.) sucked in from outside. How do I get inside fan to filter to clean out? On passenger side, I took off first round cover of fan, but there was a second cover, and I stopped before moving forward. Can you help me? Thanks so much. Mark Noland

Disconnect the wires to the fan.  There is three screws that holds the fan.  remove and it will come down.  The filter is behind the glove box.  remove the three screws for the glove box and then cut the plastic on the dotted lines if it has not been done.  Replace the filter and put new bolts where the trim that goes sideways on.

When I go at about 40miles(speed ) it's a loud the gears don't stick but the higher the speed the louder it get's need to kind of know what to tell a mechanic is to where to start to look.I doesn't

I would suspect it is a wheel bearing issue, if it sounds similar to a baseball card in the spokes of a bicycle, stays somewhat same pitch just louder with speed that is where I would look. Does noise go away or change when making turns?

Sounds like metal tapping and really rough shakes when car is running. It died on me then cranked it up and it starting shaking and heard metal tapping. sounds like a baseball card in bicycle spoke

You may have a valve spring broken,or the timing has jumped,do not try and start it again, have the timing belt checked first cause it can bend a valve,if it hasn`t already. If this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you

There is a clacking sound in the engine. Sounds

could mean a lot,,,valve train,,,timing chain,,connecting rod, or risk pin,,that's the part that connects to the piston to the connecting rod that connects to the crack shaft,,if the sound is more louder on the bottom it could be that,,,if on the passenger side of car the motor noise is loader,,could be timing chain,,,try in locate the clacking noise first,,,

Why is my acura mdx making a whining sound when I turn wheel

If it is only making that noise when you turn the wheel, it's probably low on power steering fluid, adding some to full mark should cure the problem.

My mdx 2002 acura fan blows constantly and kills my battery.

You most likely have a sticking fan control relay.
Remove the relay to confirm fan stops.

Fast clicking noise from AC vent of 99 Honda Odyssey

Yes, your theory sounds right. You'll need to remove the blower motor or a cover on it to visualize the squirrel cage and remove whatever is causing the noise. In some vehicles there is a cover under the hood, which when removed, will allow you to inspect the blower housing. If no such cover, you'll need to remove the blower motor.
