Question about BMW 525

Heater on bmw e34 blows cold only - 525 BMW Cars & Trucks

    The heater blows cold air only and I have checked the fuses and they all seem ok , any clues ? A very cold grumpy wife at the wheel and divorce is eminate unless I fix it.

Probably an airlock in the heater matrix---bleed radiator while engine running with the bleed screw located near the filler cap,when no air escapes should be ok but will need a water top up----good luck.

Where is the fuel pump relay located in a bmw e34 520i


ECU (Engine Control Unit) relay, fuel pump relay and oxygen sensor heater relay are located in the under-hood E-Box. The E-box is under the large black plastic cover at the passenger side rear of the engine compartment.

Check climate control re circulation divider door to heat exchanger from heater core under dash passenger side .

Heater is only blowing out cold air for last few days


you need to 1 check your thermostat or 2 take it to a reputable Rad shop and have them check the rad cores on you car ,sometimes they clog up and they pump coolant under pressure and it clears the core

Check there is water in it first. A black cap on top of the radiator. If the level is ok then a wee red dipstick should float up.

No reverse on a 89 535 E34, can anyone help


The clutch pack for reverse is worn out. The only solution is to replace or rebuild the transmission. The 4HP22transmission in these cars has common problems with worn out clutch packs, especially if the fluid is not changed regularly or the car is driven with frequent hard accelleration.
