Question about 1993 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer

1 Answer

Slow to accelerate

My daughter just bought a 93 Chevy S10 Blazer. It is very slow to accelerate, but then it goes just fine. We live in a rural area and have to drive a canyon to get to town that goes down 1000 feet then up 1200 feet, so people behind us aren't too happy when we go uphill. Do we need a new fuel pump?

Look for a missing ground strap from the engine to the body or frame. Remember the engine sits on rubber mounts so that ground strap is essential.

I have a 95 S10 Blazer- vehicle code W (DI). The car starts fine but immediately wants to stall. If you press the accelerator you can keep it running and it runs down the road just fine until you slow to...

no its not the crank sensor if it were your car would not even start. your problem most likely is the idle air control valve, try removing it and and cleaning it if it does not help it will have to be replaced.
