The code P0753 translates to electrical problem with shift solenoid "A" It might not be the solenoids that are at fault. Check for poor contact at the wire connectors, on the outside of the trans, they tend to corrode if water gets to them. Possible causes are:
* Solenoid is stuck open or closed.
* Valve body clogged or valve stuck.
* TCC malfunction, I have not been able to find the actual testing procedure for the trans solenoids, except at pay sites like alldata.com. I would still test the trans connector before going any further, other techs recommend that you change the trans fluid first if you have not done so, a particle of dirt in the fluid can cause the solenoid to stick and set the code. I hope you find at least some of this info useful, if so please rate this as "HELPFUL" This is a free site I get nothing for my time or 30 years of being a mechanic but a thank you. I am glad to help, retired now and want to share my knowledge, started fixing cars because I was to poor to pay someone, it turned into a rewarding career.

Shift solenoid B

Vehicle Application: 2001 Kia Sephia 1.8L Customer Concern: Codes P0758 and P1624. Replaced the TCM. Tests/Procedures: 1. Disconnect the square 9 pin connector going to the transmission (only 7 wires in the connector). Locate the Light Green/Red wire on the transmission side of the connector. check the resistance of solenoid "B". Connect one lead of the meter to the Light Green/Red wire and the other lead to the transmission housing. The resistance should be 12 - 18 ohms. Potential Causes: Harness
Solenoid B
Diagnostic Codes: P0758, P1624

I have 1995 GMC Jimmy with codes PO753 and 758. These mean power problem to Transmission solenoid A and solenoid B. The fuse is blown and pops again when replaced so I know that a short must be present but...

Possible for the solenoid to be the fault, swap the shift solenoids and see if the problem moves, if not check wireing harness for bare wire.

ENGINE LIGHT/TRACTION LIGHT ON

Those codes are tied into the transmission and odds are your transmission is not shift properly because it's detected a fault.

P0751- the solenoid should be located under the side cover assembly on the driver's side of the transmission. You may have a short in one of the wires and or a bad connection with the harness. This is probably going to run around $500 and up.

Dodge durango po753

On your first listing you under 04 durango. But now it makes more sense. On that year truck i have replaced the 3-4 shift solenoid for this code many times. You have to remove the valve body from the trans. The solenoid mounted on the valvebody.

Transmission code PO753, how to repair?

PO753 code on a Durango can also be caused by a bad transmision relay in the relay -fuse block behind the battery in the engine compartment. (relay # 31 on 1999 Durango) Before you attempt to replace the 3-4 solenoid, or take to a transmission shop, try changing the relay out with another known good relay, reset the code and try it. I learned this today from an honest transmission shop. Shifts normally again, check engine light is out, and the shop did not charge me a dime. Kudos to Trans Medic in Gresham OR.
