Question about 1995 Jeep Wrangler
I have a 95 Jeep Wrangler that I have to turn the ignition to the on position and wait till the clicking stops (which is clicking longer and longer) then I can start my jeep. But now even the clicking isnt happening all the time. HELP
Well two things are happening here... the people saying fuel regulator, you guys are not having the same problem. the relay buzzing is the indicator that the computer is bad. The relays that are buzzing get engergized by the computer. Notice the Check Engine Light won;t come on until after the buzzing is over. Now the fuel problem is different from that becuse the computer is working fine but the pump can't build enough pressure in the first second (like it is suppose to do) during the priming before you turn the key to start. Sorry for all you with the computer problem ain't cheap...

Listen, You need a new computer. Those are your relays clicking. There is no signal from the relays going to your computer to tell the Jeep to turn on. Cause your computer is broke. Check online for the best price. I bought mine from autozone.

Replace your electric fuel pump. sounds like it's not building pressure properly.

I just bought my first car and it is a 1995 jeep wrangler rio GRANDE edition. I bought for $500.00 me and my dad has been working on it. The guy I bought off of broke the screws on the distrupitour cap. So when I bought it he gave me new distrupitour cap with it and fog lights. But I not worried about that the jeep will start for a minute then cut off but then it won't start up. WE put new spark plugs and wires in it. So PLEASE if any one has a solution to it post it up. Becuase we'r A JEEP FAMILY MY DAD HAS A 2002 JEEP WRANGLER CJ that has a 2 INCH LIFT KIT ON IT THEN MY MOM HAS A JEEP LIBERTY AND THE 1995 JEEP WRANGLER RIO GRANDE IS MINE I'M ONLY 16 YRS OLD DON'T HAVE MY TEMPS BUT I NEED A SOLUTION

ARE YOU SURE ITS NOT CODE 12 INSTEAD OF 3? IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY 93 AND IM GETTING CODE 12. 55 IS JUST SAYING THAT THATS THE END OF THE MESSAGE. 12 HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE VOLTAGE IN THE TPS.

I was in fact the computer. I found one on-line from a company in Florida. Installatioon and the price of the computer was under $375.00. Thanks everyone!!!!

Just had the same problem, check OB comp, it all checked out, Checked sensors, all checked out. Checked my vacuum houses, hmmm a lil worn, some cracks, but pleny of vacuum in there, hmm, then i checked one last thing, the fuel pressure regulator at the top of the fuel rail... YEppers, dripping fuel and causing Air to enter the fuel line. Everytime ya turn the key, ya gotta wait for the fuel line to charge up and fill, hence why she's a crankin over and over.
Gues what, changed he regulator. 25 minute job, and charged my system lines, and wallah half a crank later, i was in business

Sounds like a faulty / intermittent Earth connection. Check all the battery and earth leads where they connect to the Battery, Engine, Starter Motor and Body. If possible disconnect, clean thoroughly by removing any corrosion or paint that could cause a poor connection, and reconnect making sure all are tight.
