Question about 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue

1 Answer

Hi there. My car's signal lights will not work. We have checked the bulds and fuses and they are all in working order. A friend of ours told us it could be the Hazard light switch which also controls cruise control. Both the hazard lights and cruise control work though. Is there any way of finding out for sure before we purchase a new switch and find out that is not the problem? Thanks

My 2002 Intrigue also has blinker issues. We realized that if we push in the hazard lights button a few times the blinkers will suddenly start to wrk. Thre is apparently a short somewhere. Yes the cruise and hazard lights work fine, but at times the blinkers will not. The only way we have found to make them work is to toggle the hazard button and eventually the blinkers work again. Yesterday my motor or transmission mount apparently broke. Now the car is making much noise. Anyone have a clue how much has to be removed before getting to the motor mounts? My good deal is turning into a nightmare! Ughhh~!

We have also had the hazard /blinker light problem. Pushing in on the hazard button very hard to the right or left made the connection work again and we had to replace the turn signal lights often but have found that if we clean the connection and put the bulb back in they will work again, the bulbs are not actually burning out they just do not connect well.

Same thing with my 2002 intrigue, one night the turn signals stopped working. hazards worked. then after a few minutes they worked just fine. it has been about two weeks since and had no problems!

My 199 Ford Expedition-Left turn signal and brake light in rear does not work. I had the buld changed last Sat. And it was working for almost a week...But now I was told by a friend that is not working...

It is very common for the light bulb socket to become minorly burned. You need to replace the socket. They are less than 10$. Hope this helps. TJ

Hi, found out i had no brake lights, bulbs and fuse good , all other bulbs work fine. thx

take out the bulb holder then have some one step on the brakes then pull on the black neutral wire like 1/8 of an inch and the buld will light up.

99 Chevy Tahoe... Rear turn signals, brake lights, and hazards

I had this problem, and to be honest, it happened to the left side about a week later...it's the board that the bulbs plug into...it's a very common problem with this model. So popular that you can normally get the socket board off the shelf at a parts store! it's extremely simple to replace, and I replaced all the bulbs at the same time!
