Is the car a convertible? If so the window controls operate through the convertible top computer.
By ignition switch module are you talking about the part under the lock cylinder? They do fail a lot.
What do you mean by the relays are intact? Have you checked for power at each fuse with the key on?
Not a convertible.
Yes, the part under the lock cylinder... with the pins/contacts coming out of it - I swapped it with one from a 99 9-3 parts car we have... as the part numbers were the same, interchangeable. The one I used, had some water in it, which I cleaned out.... but I took it apart, and metered it all out... everything SEEMED fine... and everything works in my car except for the above mentioned items - so it seems like it's NOT the ignition switch module.
Relays under the hood are all working and fuses... haven't checked for power at each one of them yet... but the problem HAS TO be BEFORE the fuses somewhere to affect so many different things - I just checked to ensure the fuses weren't blown.
Electrical issues are like math. You get the right answer when you follow the correct procedure. SEEMS is not a definitive answer. Installing a used switch that had water in it, SEEMS like a horrible way to guess, considering the labor involved.
How can you know if a relay is working without checking for power transmission through the relay with the design load in place? I suggest you pay a mechanic to fix this car, because it is not going to fix itself.
