REPLACING THE LEFT ONE

manual says to unscrew the wiper fluid resevoir and move it to the side, but the screw doesn't come all the way out and it won't move. that means that you can't get the plastic cap that covers the light housing all the way off because the battery is so close to the back there's no room to reach in.

Each Headlight should have 2 adjusters directly behind where the lamp assy is fitted inside the engine bay. 1 will screw in or out to adjust the headlight left to right, the other adjusts up or down.

2006 Subaru Forester with a P420 code. Can this be fixed by replacing a universal converter?

Unfortunately, universal catalytic converters do not have enough oxygen storage available and the code will return quickly if you use them. Asian imports are very touchy about this, Subaru's and Toyota's hate aftermarket universal cats!

How to aim headlights-2002 forester

ALL headlights have vertical and horizontal adjustments. The vertical may be obvious, an M8 shaft. Horizontal may be non obvious, or the adjuster is covered with a rubber grommet. Once you've located the adjusters, find a wall eve on mall car park, and see the low beam to the same height. Check high beam, and a just the horizontal as needed.
