If your using a generic code reader like from the local auto parts store, they won't retirieve powerstroke specific codes.

P1249 is wastegate control valve performance
P0475 is exhaust pressure control valve
P0603 is KAM (keep alive memory) error

Your truck has a back pressure valve that will close to aid in the warm up of the engine. Exhaust back pressure valve can stick and give the P0475. The P1249 might be related. If your disconnecting the battery to clear the codes that's where your getting the P0603. Your turbo need to come out and the back pressure valve ooked at..it's in the turbo pedestal.

I have an 1999 ford f350 7.3 powerstroke. I'm having white smoke coming out of the exhaust, I had trouble shot the vehicle the codes are DTC 04 p0562, DTC 03 p1670, DTC 02 p0603 and DTC 01 p0344. I...

P0344 = cam position sensor error
P0603 = Internal control module keep alive memory error.
P1670 = communication error between PCM and IDM
P0562 = system voltage low

My guess is you probably have some wiring issues but it's hard to tell exactly where.

Hypertech programmer tells me i have theese 3 code have reset them come back on.checked for codes with a odb2 scanner showed no codes on it.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

If the obd reader is not updated, that's the reason why it doesn't show codes. As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you update the obd II scanner then go for the procedure. This can help.

If the codes won't disappear, then the parts concerned will surely need replacement to resolve the issue.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

2000 F-350, 7.3 "P0603 Engine Code"

The P0603 is is a KAM alive code. It could of come on because the battery was disconnected or there is a bad connection or defective battery.
Clear codes, do a wiggle test and recheck for codes.
I guess I would of liked to of known if there were any other codes back when you had the issue with the truck being sluggish issue and unresponsive throttle pedal. It may have been do to an active code that was stored and then after it was cleared then the throttle worked again. Let me know if there is anything else you can add or how you are making out.

F350 7.3 code po603 need to know how bad or way

P0603 Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error

Ford dealer Tech said to check for corrosion on the battery terminals, if
they’re good the check each battery individually to see if all cells are good.
If that still doesn’t solve it, he says to start pin testing the computer ????!!!??

P0603 doesn’t always mean you have a problem, if you are running any kind
of chip, programmer ,etc. you will get that code.
