After many many You Tube videos and blogs over the last month I had almost gave up!! Until I found this!! Worked like a charm! "To reset the anti-theft on the vehicle You will need to first get into the vehicle and shut the doors. With the doors shut You want to put the key into the ignition slot and turn it on. Once You have turned it on You will then want to turn it back to the off position. Now repeat this procesS8 more times, and make sure You do it in under 12 seconds. On the last one, You will want to leave the key in the on position. Wait for about 5 minutes and You will see the anti-theft light blink. Once it blinks start the engine and the vehicle will now be reset. If the engine does not start then You did not turn the key on and off quickly enough."

SOURCE: 2001 ford taurus wont start and anti-theft light is blinking

Either you may be using a key that you had copied from the original or your chip went bad in your original key. Most of cars now a days have the key censor in the key so if it is the incorrect key it will not start your car or if it does not read that chip it will not start

SOURCE: how do you reset the anti theft system

Try disconnecting your battery cables then wait about 10 minutes. The computer should reset itself. Reconnect the wires to the battery. It is normal for the theft light to blink about every 5 seconds when the ignition key is out or in the off position. This means the system is armed and working properly. Hope this helps. God bless!

SOURCE: how do i override/reset anti theft system?

this does not sound like an antitheft problem. the SKIS systems in the jeeps will allow the truck to start, but it will turn off again after 5 seconds.

FYI if your jeep key is gray, it has the SKIS system. if it is a black key, it does not.

have you already done diagnostics for a no start? if you are lacking fuel or spark, you need to look elsewhere for the problem if it does not start at all. good luck!
