I have a 98 Stratus I've tried everything. New battery, plugs, wires, distributor and a full tank of gas. It will run and when it does it runs good. But on 3 occassions when I've parked it and gone to start it, it will crank but not start. I'm afraid to take it anywhere in fear of having to have it towed again.

I have a 98 Stratus and I've tried everything I can think of. New plugs, wires, distributor, and a full tank of gas. Sometimes it runs and sometimes it doesn't. when it doesn't there is no spark. aweek later for no reason it will start, then stop again. I don't know what else to do.

I had the same problem once. I replaced the cranck sensor, this part is located right bellow the distributor,it is very hard to get to it. it's hols by a bolt and have a cable conneted to it. The part cost me $90.00 bucks, but it worked out.I am not saying this is the problem with yours, but it may be.

My dodge dakota truck will not start. It has power we tried to pop the clutch too.

do you mean the truck won`t start and run or do you mean it won`t turn over with the key.if it won`t turn over with the key the you may have a starter problem.if you mean won`t start then it could be the fuel pump not working.with someone cranking the motor you should hear the fuel pump running with the gas cap off and listening at the filler neck.or hear it running listening under the truck at the gas tank.if you don`t hear it then you can hit the tack sharply with your hand or a rubber hammer,it hear the pump start to run then the fuel pump needs replacing.if not check the fuses under the dash and under the hood.if they are good then it may be the pump relay in the relay box under the hood and it should be marked on the box or lid.

2002 Dodge Stratus - I want to add water and antifreeze but when I try to turn the radiator cap, it turns but wont come off. Were do I add fluid?

The correct place to add engine coolant is the radiator's expansion tank. It should be a large tank under the hood with a cap that says "Coolant". The tanks will also have an Add and FULL level. Fill this tank when the engine has cooled to the FULL level. As for the radiator cap, it should come off when pressed down with hand pressure and at the same time turned in a counter clockwise rotation. DO NOT open the radiator cap when the engine is hot or at operating temperatures.

You can check under the seat of the Stratus for an access point. But unfortunately I don't think there is door. You are going to be pulling out the tank.
