Windshield wiper washer pump fuse

On a lot of cars, that washer pump circuit is really a sub-circuit of the windshield wipers themselves. The wiper fuse is also the washer pump fuse, in other words.

Use a test light or a voltmeter. Pull off the electrical connector at the pump on the washer fluid tank. Have a helper turn the key on, then press for the washer pump to operate. Take your test light and clip the ground lead to the negative battery post. Touch the tester probe to the positive terminal to assure the light is bright, that the test light will work. Now probe the connector at the washer pump. One of them wires should light up the test light, or would show battery voltage with a voltmeter or multi-meter. If it has power when key is on and washer switch on, the motor is bad, or sometimes you have to go a little further and find a ground fault.

If there is no power on any wire at the pump connector, you will have to look at a wiring diagram to diagnose it. Find out just how the pump gets power.

Neither washer pump works checked for power no power to either one.

The Washer fuse/s may be different to Wiper fuse/s.
If there's no power to both pumps I assume they're off the same fuse.
Using a test light or multimeter, check both sides of the fuse, it may be faulty.
Failing that, you'll have to trace the circuit back to the washer Switch.

What fuse for wiper washer motor

The wiring diagrams in the Haynes book should show the washer pump circuit? Often the washer pump shares the same fuse as the wipers.
You could pull off the electrical connector for the washer switch, or the multi-function switch if so equipped, and check for voltage on the pump wire going to the switch, key on. Then check if power going out of switch to the pump-key on and pump switch on. If power on both, the wire from switch to pump must be broken. Run a new wire. If power into switch but none out-switch is bad. If no power into switch for the pump, may have to keep looking for a bad fuse or the wire from fuse panel to the washer switch may have a problem. Hope this helps, good luck.

It IS Difficult To Fix A Washer Motor In A Old Container , Better Take A New Tank Which Will Come With A Motor And You Have To Take A Same Connection From A Motor To Washer Motor Which Get +ve Supply When You Pull The Wiper Switch . Then The Spray Will Work Same Time When You Pull The Switch For A Wiper. Thanks

Jaguar x type washer failure

it is more likely the wiper switch has bad contacts or the washer pump is defective, go to the pump and have someone hold wash and check for a 12 volt sigal at the washer fluid pump, if no siganl replace the wiper/washer switch, and if u do have the signal at the pump then the pump is defective.
