Question about 2003 BMW 5 Series

Hi I have just inherited my late fathers BMW 5 series 525d SE and the battery is flat - please can you tell me where the battery is located as it is certainly not under the bonnet, many thanks

I think that you will find it in the trunk beneath the tray on the right side. If it is not there, it is beneath the rear seat. Just pull up on the rear seat bottom to snap it up.

Ive got a 525d auto sport 03 plate and i dont know if i have to change the gearbox oil or not and also the back diff


Not usually with a manual gearbox, they will go for a hundred miles. Autos need to be changed at about 40 thousand. The diff. should not need it either.

hi it would be located in the trunk , or on the E34=1989-1995 5-series) its under the rear passager seat. check under the hood on the left side also it could be in a black cover and hard to see

Bmw 525d e39 2003 has hunting problem but goes like a dream but then when at lights it start to hunt brum, brum can anyone help


I would assume that you have a check engine light on and you probably have a misfire. Go to your local parts store(autozone, o'reilly's, etc.), they do scanning for free. Get the codes and let me know and I will continue to help.

The most common issue is the final stage (electronic resistor) but if this has been replaced its probably the fan motor. Try giving the fan motor a knock. They sometimes get stuck brushes

Front wipers have stopped after battery


BMW has the central body electronic zkev system.its computer control or control by a control module .if you replace battery or move battery.it put wipers in sleep mode.the BMW dealers is going to have to reset it to get wiper going again.

trunk on the passenger side.
