Question about 1997 Mazda 626

The motor actually runs faster when problem happens.
My Mazda has automatic transmission. I think the car was traveling atthe same speed. But I can feel the sudden speed drop when thetachometer dumps back. Just like the gear got shift from high to lowsuddenly.
The guy who replaced the timing belt told me that the problem maybe caused by the spark plug, or fuel filter. But after I replace allmy spark plugs, I can still replicate the problem while driving on highway last night.
Thanks for any help.
Have your transmission fluid and filter changed. That should correct the problem.
