Check the thermostat on ur model. i think its faulty. these issues have been consciously taken care of in the new volkswagen 2011 beetle. The performance and styling too have improved considerably.

00 vw bettle air condition air is not cold, but full of freeon, what to check, also heat is cold

you dont have freon at your ac , you have R134A gas. Second thing is what was the pressure on HP and LP after ac service, how much gas was added. The second thing is what climate control you have at your car, if automatic check dtc, if manula check connection on relay for ac clutch. Its very easy to find but i need more details ...

Water reserve bottle is emptying and engine is getting how

flushing a radiator is a waste of time and money as blocked cores do not flush. Have a pressure test done on the coolant system and check for external leaks. have a compression test done to check for head gasket and cracked head. Have a flow test done on the radiator and if shows signs of blockage replace the radiator .. Always fill the radiator at the radiator cap and not the reserve bottle. The reserve bottle water will not go down until the engine coolant starts to cool so if it is going down when the engine is hot then you have a bad leak in the reservoir bottle.

Daughters 1999 turbo bettle started overheating today. Red light appeared on dash. water gushed out when resivor cap removed. engine [while running] would not take new water, water kept gushing back. then...

SOUND LIKE BAD THERMOSTAT REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP..BUT YOU NEED TO MIX 50/50 MIXTURE OF ANTIFREEZE AND WATER IN THE COOLING SYSTEM TO RAISE BOILING TO KEEP CAR FROM OVERHEATING.

Over heating 2000 Dogde Intrepid 3.2L

Hey Ninja,,, a bad thermostat will not cause the belt to break,,. BUT a locked up A/C compressor will, anything that is locked up or not freely working will cause the belt to break.. MAYBE the water pump is locked up and you are forcing it to try to turn.. this will give you the symptoms you describe..

Water come out from Water line when Engine Shutdown.

Does it show signs of over heating at all? When cool, take off rad cap & check level in rad & top it up. If down a lot, start engine, turn on heat & let run until you hear rad fan come on & check temperature gauge to see if normal operating temperature. Let it come on a couple of times, and top up rad an inch or so from top, then put rad cap back on. Top up bottle to proper level & try it. If it spits back into return bottle, try replacing rad cap.

Car overheating

Your message is listed along with 2000 DeVilles - not gonna get much feedback that way -
Even though you don't have visible water coming from the exhaust, the combination of overheating and coolant loss still sounds like a blown headgasket.
When the engine is running, you are pushing exhaust gases into the cooling system and producing heating of the coolant the radiator can't handle. When the engine cools down, you are probably sucking a little coolant into one or more cylinders.
Tie an old towel over the tailpipe before starting the cold engine to see if the exhaust gases are as dry as you think.
Depending on how bad or where the head gasket is failing, watch for any oily signs in your coolant, any signs of engine oil turning into hand creme and with a cold engine, take the coolant fill cap off, then start the engine allowing it to warm some and watch your coolant overflow bottle for bubbles. If you find any of those signs and are still not convinced, pull each plug and look for signs of rust on the plugs. If you find it, well . . . Any or all of the symptoms above say 'blown headgasket.'

is your car low on coolant? is the water pump bad? and if you have driven it for long while overheated you may have blown a headgasket causing coolant to enter the combustion chamber and causing it to run rough and eventually ceise up.
