This problem is faced by many other too. That gas tank does not get completely filled or gas tank overflows and leaks out. There is a check valve in the tank that apparently goes bad causes the gas fill up or over flow problem. The valve, the tank & filler neck has to be replaced, in most of the cases to solve the problem. There is service bulletin released by service center for this problem. Please click this link below to go through the service bulletin:--- ----------------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

A local car mechanic can do it.But parts are to be checked.Ask the mechanic to check valve, the tank and filler neck.If the neck is clogged worn out and valve is cracked or stuck open inside, then ,both checked out weak, so both has to be replaced. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I would ask the Chrysler dealer, probably quicker than asking anyone else.

You may have a faulty gas cap. If you are tightening the cap down securely the light will go off after the car is driven about 40 miles. I suggest installing a new gas cap which should cost about $15 at your local auto parts store. *** Please rate me on this answer.***
