Question about 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee
This is a pretty simple job, the colant temperature sensor , most of them should be located on top front of the engine, after you look staright over the fan area, start looking for a sensor that has a wire connection, it is down a liitle on top of the engine, you will need to drain down the radiator 3 - 4" and the close off the drain valve, then you will need a 3/8 " ratchet , along with a 6" extenstion, and a coolant temperature socket, you can purchase the socket at a auto part store, then unplug the wire connection from the sensor, and with the tools that i mentioned, remove the sensor, then before , you install the new one, look to see if there is some sealer already on the threads of the new sensor, if so, go ahead and install the sensor, if no sealer is there, then , take some white teflon tape, and wrap a couple of rounds of tape onto the threads of the sensor, then install it, and reconnect the wire connection, refill the radaitor with antifreeze that you have drained out, and re install the radiator cap, and start up vehicle, and check to make sure sensor is not leaking, also make sure when looking over the engine, watch out for the radiator fan. hope that this information has helped you.
