Question about Toyota Tacoma
The most obvious reason is the drain bolt was not installed, but also the oil filter that was on had a ribber gasket and if it was VERY TIGHT it sometimes stays attached to the block instead of the filter housing on the old filter-you then install a new filter, with a new gasket attached, on top of the old gasket-there will be no seal between the block and the filter under these conditions. hence your leak.
