I have the same issue, just started yestrday afternoon. I hear a slight grinding noise typically when I turn or hit a bump. Comes and goes. How long before I need to attend to this? How much are parts? My thoughts are bearings need to changed.

Same problem here with my 2000 Blazer. The noise is constant from the rear and sounds like you can actually hear the rotation at low speeds. I have an appointment for 3 weeks from now but need to drive it in the mean time. Any idea how much this will run me and is this dangerous? (Worst to best case scenario)

I would check the universal joints and the yoke on the rear end. If the yoke actually moves, the pinion bearings are shot.

first start by bleeding the brakes and at the same time replace the brake fluid. on your rear end run some lucas for rear ends same for the front and see what happens.
