No i need to know on a ford v10 the firing order and witch one is coil J

The firing order is : 1-6-5-10-2-7-3-8-4-9 The 1 thru 5 cylinder are from front to back on the passenger side while 6-10 are from front to rear on the drivers side
I see in my research that the engine has a coil on each plug. However, I can't find any info on how the coils are designated. Just a thought though, if you are looking for coil J and J happens to be the 10th letter of the alphabet, maybe it's cylinder 10 ?

I assume it is a 4-cyl? Firing order is 1-3-4-2, and no 1 plug is at the front, or timing belt end of the engine.

I do not know if you have the Econoline E150, E250, E350 Model; or the 4.2L V6, 4.6L V8, 5.4L V8, or the 6.8L V10 Engine; however I have included all below.

Cylinders:
(back of engine)

How to check for a bad coil and how to replace a coil


Hi, Yes you can replace the coil yourself. I would read any comments that is on ebay about the company that is selling the coil. You can get great deals. By the sounds of it you have coil on plug. Now to fine out which coil is gone you would have to remove one at the time have some one crank the eng and you look for the spark. Before you do this remove the fuel pump fuse. The first thing to do is to fine out if you do have spark. Here is the cyl order and the firing order.

FRONT 1 2 3 4 5
6 7 8 9 10
FIRING ORDER 1-6-5-10-2-7-3-8-4-9
