Question about 2004 Toyota Sienna

1 Answer

2004 Toyota Sienna XLE... A/C Freon has been checked and is fine ...no leaks. Air blows but is not cold at times. Move to heat and is just fine. If I turn off the unit and turn back on then a/c is cold. If I adjust the temperature then it blow warm air again. What's the solution?

You need to have gauges put on it to determine if it is fully charged-does the compressor click off and on? If it does, it is probably low on 134A freon, and needs to be checked for leak and filled. You can buy a good set fo gauges for about $70-80 and they are not hard to learn how to use them, or take it to a repair facility and ask to have the pressures checked. Your vehicle is not that old, but it is around the age now where things like this might need some attention to work properly.

2004 Toyota Sienna and the AC is blowing warm air

Well, I would check to see if the compressor under the hood is engaging and the fan turns on to the radiator when switching the a/c on.

The most common problem for a car that is 6 years old is for r134a refrigerant to leak out through o-rings.

I would get an r134a recharge kit from your local auto parts store which consists of a tube and a can of freon with oil, leak detector, and sealant to help prevent leakage.

Hope you can get 'cool' air conditioning again.

2004 toyota sienna, a/c not cooling very well. compressor kicking on and off.

If the compressor turns on and off could be lack of freon, also could be that the condenser fans not working check the freon with a pressure gauge that you connect to the terminal was lower than thicker pipe system air conditioning if you are under 90 lbs the compressor starts and you should check if you have a leak in the system. Thanks

2004 sienna heating system problem. With the from heat control set to hot it sometimes blows hot and the cold air back and forth on its own with the heat set to hot?

try turning the blower down, if you have the fan on full you will feel cooler air from time to time. as the thermostat only measures the ambient tempreture inside the car when this level is met then it will turn off the heat so it will only blow the air from the car which will feel cooler.
if the car is still cold suspect the tempreture control in the car maybe faulty or the water level in the system maybe low.

2004 toyota sienna a/c not working one side cold other side warm

there are two a/c lines that run down the fire wall under the van to the rear.right around the bottom of the fire wall the is a connection point on both lines. you will find a leak there .replace the orings and recharge system. also you will need two specail toyota tools to release the couplings.i have done this repair on several sienna's. let me know if this helps.
