You give no indication of what kind Chevy you have but a leaking sound anywhere under the hood usually indicates a vacuum leak.

A vacuum leak would still be my best guess. Sometimes we spray the area where the sound is coming from with carb cleaner and see if the engine speeds up. If it does there is a vacuum leak in that area. We also use propane to check for vacuum leaks in a similar way. Be careful. This stuff is volitile.

I have a clicking sound coming from the area of my odometer, odometer and speedometer are working fine but find the noise to be irritating. Could it be the cable from the tranny is sticking?

Usually if the cable is bad enough to click, the speedo will jump a little with each click. Get passenger to lie on floor with section of rubber hose. Stick one end in ear and poke other end around under dash to try to locate sound.

20006 saturn ion water in floor board

The drains are in the wheel wells. You have to remove the plastic panel in the wheel well. Pour some water in the sunroof drain area you'll see it come out a little rubber nipple. Take a razor and cut off a little of the end of the nipple so water flows easily out. They are closed and the water pressure isn't enough to open fully and the water backs up and leaks inside.

Oil leak around #1 spark plug of 2002 Ford Escape 3.0L V6 (spark plug is when on outside when removed - Oil leaks down engine onto exhaust). Anyone have an engine diagram so I can learn what lies in/near...

Sounds like valve cover gasket is leaking. It leaks down side of engine onto everything in it's path. Stop by a local parts store and have them take a peak, they'll be glad to help you out.

Car wont start. Turn the key and only get mileage lights to come on and a clicking noise from under the glove box area. have a 5 speed.

it sounds like your starter relay is working (thats the clicking you hear) so the problem possibly lies withe starter motor or the solenoid mounted on top of it.

1996 ford ranger air hissing noise coming from under the dash

More that likely the vacuum supply hose to your heat/ ac controls is leaking or, one of the vacuum motors is unhooked or ruptured. Use a small piece of hose, if you have any, start the engine, then stick one end of the hose up to your ear and search around under the dash with the other end. Keep moving the hose until you isolate the spot where the noise is loudest.(cheap stethoscope). Use a mirror if you cannot physically see the area. That is where you will find your leak. TJ

Mazda mpv 2005 vacum leak

99% of the time it's a pcv hose, put your hand behind the intake manifold while the car is running and you should be able to feel it. it will be sucked in at the elbow on the manifold, this is not an easy hose to replace.
