Question about 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier
Its possible that the throttle position sensor(tps)is worn as they are just a metal ribbon contact like a house light rheostat.this area is used(rubbed)more than the rest of the tps ribbon.if this has a mass air flow sensor(maf) the hot wire in the system may be dirty and need cleaning as it is in the air flow and gets hit by all the dirt in the intake air as it is sucked into the motor.
