Call a reputable locksmith, they will be able to send someone to you that can make a key from scratch. usually cost about a hundred dollar, but better than breaking the lock on the steering column.

I lost the keys to my 1999 ford ranger xlt. i want to know how i can bypass the chip in the key that tells the alarm that its ok for the truck to start. need my work vehicle please help anyone. thanx

Technically you can't. The computer will not power up the coil and injectors without that chip. You can add a new chip as long as you have the old one, but it takes a dealer or really good locksmith to cut a new key with the original chip, or reprogram the system for a new key.

There are a number of reasons that can be wrong, it sounds like it might be something with the alternator.

You must know the resistance value of the old key to make this work, without that info you can't get a new key cut, the resistor was the chip at the base of the key shank. So you are kinda stuck here, the only thing to do is find out if you can buy the VATS module out of the truck the column came from, you module needs to see a proper key resistance signal a certain resistance which was of course the one you lost. Only had one key to the truck?? wow that was a mistake. I lost a key once but luckily it had no anti theft system and a new lock fixed it, after that I have three keys for each of my 4 cars.

Lost my keys to a 2000 chevrolet blazer how do i get new key made or how do i start without a key

Your vehicle has an antitheft system on it. Your key actually produces a signal that is read by the ignition along with the key itself. So hotwiring is not an option.

Had a new key cut for my 2007 cadiliac cts---- it starts the vehicle; however, the display says "Starting Disabled - Remove Key." what do i need to do to correct this problem?

take the chip out of the old key and then remove the shroud around steering column and tape the old key or the chip out of it to the transponder reader and make sure you destroy or remove the chip in the new key and then it should go ok

2006 ION, 2.4, manual trans, 101,000 miles. Never had any problems until arriving home today. Ignition key will not turn to off and cannot be removed. Only way to stop engine is to set the brake, start in...

sounds like a bad key switch. the key needs to go in start car then turn off and be removed. you say the key cannot be removed. Is the key still in there? if so you need a new key lock drum. and/or a new ignition switch behind the actual key lock.the key lock can be removed and the electric switch is down in there. once the key lock is out you can start with a screwdriver. the mew key lock will come with a new key and snaps right in. to remove the old key lock refer to a manual for procedure.

I have lost the key to my 1998 oldsmobile cutless. I am trying to find out how to hot wire or any other way to get the car started.

You have 2 options. The first is to talk to a GM dealer. You can give them the info they need and they can usually make a key for you.
The other option is to replace the ignition tumbler with a new one, and new keys.
Without the ignition key you can not unlock the steering lock.
You would have to pull the ignition lock, and then find the starter relay to actually start the car.
Please let me know how it goes.
