That's normal. The AC compressor loads down the engine and causes the RPMs to drop. Happens in any car you'll drive - it's perfectly normal and not an indication of anything wrong.

Rpms drop when you shift from parck

There will ne a slight drop of engine RPM when you select a gear as the torque convertor is trying to drive the car and so the engine is loaded up. The RPM drop can be up to 200 rpms on the older cars and less on the EFI units as the CPU makes the RPM adjustment to keep the idle steady.

I would check the fuel pressure and replace the fuel filter, if it hasn't been done in awhile. Is the check engine light on?

This may been an ignition module or a MAF sensor, this car may need to be diagnosed using a OBD I computer code reader to accurately diagnose the problem.

Rpm

Sounds like your overdrive isnt working properly. May be going in and out causing the rpm change. There is an adjustment for that. I would certainly get a second opion for this..Most people ignore there transmission (including myself) till there is a problem. Maybe it just needs a tune up.
