1998 Ford F150 supercab - passenger side door won't open

Get inside the backseat remove two screws that hold the side window. Gently pull the top plastic panel out all around and the panel will come out. It is held by about six clips. Then remove the screws and a nut off the bottom panel. These are all at the top of the bottom panel. Remove a couple of screws thatholds the inside doorl latch. Once all out then simply lift up on the bottom panel and it will come out. Remove the plastic sheet that overs the side door underneath the panel. Now you can see the whole mechanisim for the unlatch. On my truck the problem was with the top cable going into the latch mechanisim. The top cable came loose, out of the slot that held it in place. I pit it back into the slot and made a metal clip to keep it in place. If your interested I can add picture of the clip. Reassembled the door and was done in about three hours.

I used the wrong key in the passenger door in my '98 f150 and pushed the lock in. How do I remove the door panel to get the lock back into place

A good place to get directions with pictures for the door panel removal is Muth Co.

www.kwmuth.com

Enter your Truck info, on the product page is a URL for the PDF version of the instructions. Obviously only follow them to the point of getting the door panel off, no need to remove the mirror head.

I have a 1998 Ford F150 no Dome lights and cargo lights

Hello. the wiring harness plug that goes into the relay panel just to the left of the brake pedal may be your culprit. . If you remove the cover of the relay panel and wiggle the wires in the big connection plug, you will likely find that your interior lights will flicker. I believe Ford had a recall on these wiring harnesses so contact a Ford dealer about that.

Need help removing power window motor on 1998 Ford F-150

You drill the head of the rivet out....start with a small bit and work your way up....then pop it out with a blow from a hammer and a screwdriver or punch. Then, if you don't have rivets to replace the removed ones, get a few bolts and nylon threaded nuts and use those to install the new window motor.

Replace Passenger Side Mirror on 2002 Ford F-150

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
