1995 dodge avenger battery light turns on then set belt light flickers as well as srs. car starts to die unless i rev it. bad altornator? smelled like an electrical burn also first time it happened. when i take the negative off the battery car dies.

Do headlamps flicker as well? Bad alternator. No? Bad light switch.

Who did the work? If you double, triplecheck your work. Sounds like some bad connections battery, alternator. Maybe even Alternator belt alingnment.

Pull on the front seat belts a few times

If the rear ones are use- try them also

SRS Module for codes

the alternator could have died on you thus not charging the battery. the negative terminal on the battery could came loose.

If it is 2.5 or 3.0, there is three. 2 serp belts and 1 timing belt

Thats what it sounds like. That would cause all your problems. You could start the jeep and then take your hot side battery terminal off. If it dies asap, your alternator is bad. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Check Battery connects,Cables.Clean !Also to engine ground. Then Alternator belt tension.Listen for slippage. Check connection on starter relay,and bolts on starter, tap on starter while a buddy starts engine,with the key. Could be bad brushes in starter and or bad relay at starter.

maybe a bad ground

check the ground to battery and clean posts if need be, also make sure that the alternator is at proper charging rate. a fully charged battery with engine off should read at least 12.5 or higher. when running the battery should read 14 volts or a little higher. clean corrosion from case also if need be. if the above does not work check engine ground.
