You should probably check shaft "end-play" and bearing wear. Sounds as if when the motor is installed the "squirrel cage" is fixed against the inside of the housing holding it fixed in place.

2000 grand prix blower motor only worked on high for awhile now it doesnt work at all

in alot of cases the blower motor resistor burns
if you follow the blower connection to left you will the resistor plugs right in to the blower but make sure you check it before you buy it take it off and inspect it you will see burns on harness and resistor
its under the passiger side dashboard you will see the blower and to the left is the resistor i think you will need a 9/32 socket or 7mm its held by one screw
good luck

Blower motor now only works in 5th speed, 1 to 4 not working

You are going to have to make a connector for your resistor to fit into the adapater under the dash. the new resistor doesnt reach the terminals on the connector. Even though it clips in place it doesnt reach. I took a piece of small soldier and put in the connector then plugged it in and it worked just fine. When you unplug the relay it will not work in any speed.

1998 Astro Van Heater AC Blower only works on medium & Low

Yes, in high it bypasses the resistor and uses a high blower relay. But I think on 1998 Astro the High relay and the resistor are built together. It should be mounted in the blower box real close to the blower motor.

Non-blowing heat and A/C blower fan.

Did u test the THERMAL LIMITER on the blower resistor? this is the part that burns out, the resistors always look fine. Replace the resistor, it is cheap and i am sure it will fix the problem. U may also wish to check the 30 Amp blower motor relay circuit breaker in the underhood fuse box, I believe it is marked HEATER.
