01 elantra won't start no radio no dash lights new battery tap starter it works now that doesn't work jumper cables didn't work

Check in fuse box under hood and dash look for blown fuses and bad starter relays. Also check ground cable from battery this needs to have a good connection. Could be a bad positive cable connection to starter solenoid. Well there's a list of things to check. Hope this helped

Total dead no power-tried jump-then new battery-then nothing

Check you cables, see if you have a short in the grounding cable. The end grounding it to the car may have come loose. Have you ever replaced the cables? That would be my next step before you dump money into it. You know it isn't the battery so just work from there.

Running and dash lights not working

Check for poor grounds both under the dash ( especially by the foot brake pedal if equipped ) and all engine to frame, and frame to body grounds and battery grounds ( most cars have more than one here). Also check your fusible links under the hood and make sure you actually have power on BOTH sides of your fuses. If all that fails, check out a new headlight switch.

2005 Ford Taurus dash display doesn't work.

check all fuses under the hood ! Dont just look @ them , take them out one by one make sure they are clean and silver on the prongs of the fuse , sometimes they lose contact over the years ! there are also fuse panel under DASH next to steering colum above brake pedal have to look for it .
'Check' the ground wire thats coming off the ground post of the battery going over to the body of the car, take the screw out of that end of the wire and clean it and clean the metal before you put the screw back in it (COULD BE A BAD GROUND ) if you think it might be USE your jumper cables and hook all four clamps to grounds (Gound Post of battery,to Body of car, from body of car back to motor, from motor down to the frame !make sure all four clamps are making contact ! (DO NOT HOOK ANY CABLE TO THE POSITIVE POST ON YOUR BATTERY ) you are checking for grounds only ~ Danny !

Why have i lost all electrical power to my 1974 dodge tradesman van

With the battery connected, did you check the fuseable link which is the pigtail wire on the positive cable ?
If nothing works, it has to be a bad cable, bad connection, or one of the major fuseable links from the battery to the fuse box.

98 Ford Explorer, will not start. No power from battery to key, no inside lights, no radio, no dome light, no sound when the key os on and the door is open (should beep). New battery, checked fuses, can't...

It appears your battery is not properly connected or your main ground cable is bad or your main power cable is loose or has a bad connector downstream from the battery. First check the battery cables first to make sure the cables are tight. Make sure the battery posts are not reversed (red to +) and black ground cable to -. Try a set of jumper cables from another car and if that works you know it's still a problem with your battery. Also, you could have a bad main fuse starter relay out in the large main fuse distribution panel under the hood, but I do not believe this would affect headlights, inside lights, door warnings, etc. What you are describing is what you would experience if the battery is totally dead (drained from leaving inside lights on for example).

Try turning on your hazard/warning flashers. The DOT 3 fuses are usually right next to each other. Follow the clicking sound.
