Question about 2002 Isuzu Axiom
The shield does not hold the tank in the car, if you take a good look you will see 2 straps that hold the tank in the car the shield is there to help protect the tank from rocks and things you might run over, they rust out because dirt and water gets on top of the shield between the tank and the shield and it can't get out, we remove the shields sometimes because if the car is not used off road much there is a lot higher chance of the tank rusting and developing a leak because of all the dirt and water that is trapped between the shield and tank then there is of the driver damaging the tank by driving over something.
