Question about 1990 Ford Mustang
If its only when you push the clutch i would clean and lube the transmission input shaft. its a routine thing and can get noisy if theyre dirty. this is a two man job. first remove the access cover on trans. then have one person pump clutch while you spray brake cleaner up on the input shaft. spray a good amount on it you want it clean as possible. let it dry for a few minutes then as he is pumpin the brakes spray some white lithium grease on the input shaft. again you want a good amount on there. this will give you a smoother clutch and hopefully quiet what you might be hearing. bein a technician i have ran into this complaint and had alot of customers describe this as a whistling sound. good luck!
