I took my battery out of my 2005 corvette for winter storage - My digital message says Power Reduction - I was told this was due to the security system and followed the reset for a 2007 : it didn't work 30-Minute Relearn Procedure Use this procedure after replacing the following components: The passkey III (PK3) keys The theft deterrent control module 1. With a master passkey III key (Black), turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. 2. Observe the Security telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn off. 3. All three parts must match. The key, the ignition, and the tdm. If you replaced with a different one, and they dont match, it will never work correctly again.

1998 corvette will not start says reduced power

If the security light is blinking it will not start. The security system needs to be reset. You will have to have a fully charged battery to reset the system. With a full charged battery turn the ignition forward until the warning lights come on and leave the key in the on position for 15min. Turn key off and wait 10sec. then try and start. You may have to perform this procedure a couple of times, however, it is usually successful the first try. The reduced power light can be set by a low voltage/poor charge battery

Security system for c6 corvette / resets

I had this problem when my battery got low. Had to use key to open truck to get in car. The horn started going off so I had to pull the fuse and then charge the battery. If you hold the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob for 10 seconds it will reset the system. Worked for me.

Own a 2005 BMW M3, car battery draining -battery less than year.

From what you're saying here, I believe that you simply have a bad battery. Most batteries only last 5 years, much less if they're left to sit in storage periodically. You really should charge the battery overnight and do a load test on it the next day. The person(s) you spoke to at BMW were probably sales staff and not actual technicians. Costco has very good batteries at reasonable prices.
