you need to locate the "door ajar " switch, each door has one. It probably needs to be replaced or adjusted.

This is actually not a problem with a fuse. There are switches in each of you doors that let the car computer know when the door is open or shut. One of these switches is malfunctioning so the car thinks a door is always open. If you take the car to a dealership they will be able to fully diagnose it and tell exactly which door switch is faulty and then replace it for you.

I need to know wheres the fuse box located for a 1999 ford expedition my interior lights will not go off...

If a fuse is blown for your interior lights they will not light at all. the fuse panel is on the driver side end of dash where the door touches the dash board, can only access with the door open and small 7'x6" cover is removed, it pulls off by hand

The door ajar light is staying on and causing the interior light and the running board lights to stay on. There is no door open

A door switch may not be working though. Try pushing each door inward while shut. If one door then turns off the lights, either glue a small spacer to the door where the switch button strikes (to push the switch further) or replace the switch itself. Good luck!

1997 ford exibition xlt my interior light and running board lights wont go off along wiith the door ajar light on dash board. please help

Take some WD40 and open the doors and spray a liberal amount into each of the door latches. Then open and close the doors firmly several times. This will work most of the time to unstick the ajar switches.

Door ajar light remains on

One of your door switches sounds faulty, usually drivers door goes first. There's a little push-in button sticking out on your door post or a small lever type plastic thing where your door meets vehicle, that is your switch. You can try spraying it with contact cleaner or WD-40 & working it in & out by pushing it with your thumb, it may fix it tempoarily, but if not, it will have to be replaced. If your mechanically inclined I can tell you how to test it.

Door ajar light still on which leaves interior lights constantly

This is usually caused by the switches sticking in the door latches. Try spraying some WD40 in the latches and open and close the doors a bunch of times that should take care of it.
