Torque specifications


Head bolts are torqued in 3 steps, 1-18ft.lbs, 2-60 degrees, 3-60 degrees, camshaft caps-10-11 ftlbs, intake manifold-12-17ftlbs, exh manifolds-32-40 ftlbs, camshaft pulley-74-89 ftlbs.

Replace exhaust manifold gasket on a 3.2 litre Isuzu Holden rodeo motor


Take it off and have the face re-machined flat as when gaskets blow it is a sign that the manifold has warped. Use the correct gasket and tension the bolts in the correct order and to the correct tension. Be aware that on engines the manifold bolts are not all done up to the same tension to allow for manifold expansion

if you have no idea how buy a book on any auto parts because you need follow a torq secuence and pound per feet on headd and intake manifold exhaust manifold etc

Torque settings for a holden rodeo 3.5 ra. Head


stage 1 = 29Nm(21 lb ft/3.0 kg-m)
final = 64Nm(47 lb ft/6.5kg-m)
do not reuse head bolts or apply any lubricant to the bolts. Do up bolts in following order for each head.

front
5 2 4 8

Holden 94 rodeo petrol


Good Day
Vale clearance cold
intake .006 in (.15 mm)
exhaust .010 in (.25 mm)

Timing
1. With transmission in Neutral or park, start engine and warm to normal operating temp. turn eng,and all accessories off. connect Tachometer. Connect timing light to no 1 spark plug wire.

2. Disconnect and plug fuel vapor canister purge hose and EGR vacuum hose. Start and ensure idle is 900 RPM. adjust idle as required. Check ignition timing ( 12 @ 900)

3. If adjustment is required, loosen distributor hold down bolt and turn until timing is within specification. Tighten distributor hold down bolt and recheck timing. adjust idle speed as required.
