Question about 2002 Dodge Stratus
There is molstly 2 main things that keep a car from running good, and that is the electrical system and the fuel system, i would 1st check the fuel pressure on your car, to see if it is within specs, if so, then you should be ok there, if the reading is lower than the specs , then i would suspect the fuel pump. another thing that can cause a car to run sluggish is your fuel injectors, you can check them , while engine is running with a mechanics stethoscope, these are pretty cheap, normally less than $10.00 at some places, place the probe of the stethoscope onto each injector, and you will hear a clicking sound, coming from the injectors, if you find 1 that the sound of the clicking is lesser than the other injectors , then this is the bad one. you mentioned bad gas, there has been times that people has got some bad gas, when they filled up, and the solution to this is to pour a bottle of heet into the gas tank, this will get rid of any water , or moisture in the gas. after this if your car is still running sluggish, check all of your vacuum hoses to make sure that they are not leaking, and last but not least, how is the spark plugs and wires in your car, and how long has it been since they have been replaced you can check these out also, good luck, and hope that this information has helped you.

Could be the fuel pump. Could be the fuel filter too. When is the last time you had a tune up? Bad plugs can really work a car hard. When you are at a stop sign or a stop light and your foot is on the brake does the car act like it wants to **** on you? This is a another sign of your plugs needing to be changed. Should this be the case I would recommend a full tune up. Should your check engine light be on then I would suggest you go to Auto zone to get a free scan performed and have the codes read. If no check engine light is on then it is most likely not a sensor issue.
