Question about BMW 323

You did not mention your car model, but if it is new enough that you are using Platinum +2 plugs, it is probably less than 20 years old. The gap does not really matter with a modern electronic ignition.
The books don't list a gap because it is easy to damage modern plugs trying to adjust the gap. Better to leave it as you find it.
If the plug has been dropped causing the gap to close, you don't want to use it. A chunk of porcelain breaking off inside a cylinder can do a lot of damage.

The spark plug gap should be posted on the emissions sticker under the hood. The gap setting posted on the sticker is good for all brands and types of plugs for your vehicule

Cylinders 1-3-5 are on the back side of the engine. Cylinder 1 is the passenger side and cylinder 5 is the drivers side.
Cylinders 2-4-6 are on the front of the engine. Cylinder 2 is on the passenger side and cylinder 6 is on the drivers side.
The coil pack will have the cylinders labeled at each post.
