Re: Need help with window seals on the drivers door.
The two pieces at the bottom of the window attach seperately to the sheet metal. There is an inside and an outside piece. They grip the sheet metal with clips. You will need to press them on or tap lightly to install. They can be difficult to install. Make sure the clips line up with the slot and press into place. The same goes with the seal around the window. It pushes in to the gap.

Hello. To install cruise from a wreck is not possible for the home mechanic. Thre are kits available at most Auto Parts houses. The rust in your radiator is caused by someone using water instead of proper coolant. Buy a flushing kit at your local parts store and use it, following the instructions. You'll not have any more difficulties IF you keep a proper engine coolant in it.
I believe you need a new switch in drivers door goto a wrecker , new GM ones are $$$$$, happened to me, i just unhooked battery to clear a CEL and had window open at the time ( won't do that again ) and door locks and drivers window won't work ,, checked fuses ,everything good then took door apart and put power to window motor was able to put it up, googled and found lots of people in same boat , hope it works for you ,,,,D

ok first thing first if you can spend roughly 80.00 I would call a mobile glass company or look for a van that does glass. They will do it and they can take the old one out and replace it within an hour/ the reason I say this is they need a chemical to bit into the your door and urethane it in now think of this 80.00 for glass guy or 10.00 for the chemical for bite one tube of caulk 30.00 plus your time and its pretty valuable and the professional put in hands down is the thing. You will appreciate this that i am teeling you.Hopefully you thought of that.I know you can do it just the but thing. if you need any more info go to collisionrepairadvice.com ok jmdf
I am the original owner of camry xle 1998 with wet floors. In 2000 I had drivers side door seal leaking at welt. Removed old door seal and new weather strip on drivers side installed. The door panel was never wet, but wet at bottom of door where there are drain holes...slowly leaking under carpet.
In 2001 later water again. Coming from overflowing A/C evaporator-drain plugged/ tank full of debris. Removed evaporator, cleaned + drain cleaned.
In 2003, driver door seal against window rotted. Removed door panel and found leak at window belt molding at the mirror joint inside + out. Lots of mold under carpet needed to replace! Made a fuss at dealers for reacurring problem and they replaced the carpet for free.
