Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer

1 Answer

I bought a 2003 Lancer today. It started perfectly at the dealership, my husband is a mechanic and he checked it over really good. He brought it home with a car dolly and went outside to start it and it will not start. The lights come on, and it cranks over but the car will not start. My husband thinks it could be the fuel shut off switch, but he can't locate it. he think he could have thrown the switch because the interstate and the roads were pretty rough. Could anyone have any ideas of why its doing this or where the switch is? Thanks

Check the timing belt to see if it is not broken. Fuel pump is behind back seat along with fuel filter. Check cam shaft sensor right end side of cam covers next to the air filter, maybe knocked plug out or loose.

Road noise 2006 Mitsubishi lancer vrx

I bought a Lancer VRX last month and it got a clunk sound from the front end as u turn or reverse 4/5 times from the drive way. I wrote a email no reply from Mitsubishi. But i was able to get the car in for a check up today with Preston motors Dandenong. The mechanic went for a test drive with me and he heard it too and i have recorded the sound too. Still not fixed after coming home. Really appointed feel like burning this car down now. After spending so much on a brand new car and time dropping the car off for inspection this is what i get. Any one who is planing to buy a lancer be careful. Id rather go for a toyota I made a bad decision by buying this car. its only down 1200km
I feel like taking the car to the local mechanic and getting it checked.
When i bough the car it came with 2 screws missing as they removed the door panels for tinting. got that fixed. Today i got the 1st free service done but they forgot to reset the service time indicator. Any one else with a vrx having this problem please message me on
so we could look into this matter as a team. They only want our money after that its our problem. I' am so upset right now i don't have the luxury of time to take this brand new car back and forth for problems. Not to mention the amount of road noise. I could have put up with that if not for this suspension issue.

Abs light comes on in my 2003 f350 xlt super duty. it comes on when accelerating or siting still or just driving. my husband is a mechanic and has tried everything he knows to fix it . Looking for more...

maybe a wheel speed sensor is not working or is off a little that could throw a code. or the reluctor wheel on the brake rotor got damaged somehow. Or maybe in the rear the abs sensor is no good assuming it has 4 wheel abs. What does the trouble code say?

Check suspsension came on in my 2003

Sounds like your air ride suspension is either leaking air in the air bags, air lines, etc, or the compressor is not working. If your truck is still under warranty take it to the dealership to get it fixed or with a good mechanic. If it is an air bag or the compressor start checking online for any good, cheap parts because parts for this SUV run expensive.

2003 lancer strut

Yeh.. easy... usually a bad strut will make noise when going over bumps such as clunking, squeaking, knocking. also, pushing down on the corner of the car with the suspected bad strut should make the car feel 'soft'.
Also, a bad strut usually is leaking hydraulic oil. If a faulty strut is suspected, have the dealership or mechanic diagnose and repair the problem.
