Question about 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
Wipers were left in the "on" position, but I don't think any lights were left on...? Dead battery in morning, not even dash lights. Tried to jump-start, battery gauge showed no change until I slammed the driver's door... then the dash lights & all came on and the gauge started to go up. I tried the ignition (before it showed a full battery charge) and it went "click" and all power was gone. Waited about 10 minutes and checked, still no lights or change in the battery gauge?? Is it a dead battery or is my starter bad... or something else??
Take the battery out and have it charged up. reinstall it and you should be allright. Your car has discharged it completely, and it will need a recharge to start. The gauge is only measuring voltage, and not the status of charge.
