SOURCE: i broke a stud off my PT cruiser, and when

if your are talking about a wheel stud you should never modify them. they have lined section near the head that make them hard to install you have to use an installer or hammer it in. a bit of work but can be done.

How do you remove the hub from the rotar to change the studs on the a 89 ford maverick?

Not too difficult. Hub and rotor are one if OEM. After removing the hub and placing the bearings somewhere clean and safe, you can drive the studs out with a hammer. They can be pressed back in, driven in, or pulled in with a spacer and nut. If you choose to pull them, then strike the back of the stud with a punch and hammer to assure that it is seated.
Fancy after market kits may use separate rotor/hubs. If this is the case, spray WD40 around the inside radius of the rotor and tap on the rotor, but not on the face.
I have assumed by your question that you know how to remove the hub. Clean races, repack bearings, reassemble.

Hi there I'm trying to change the stud patten on my Audi tt 2001 from 5x100 to 5x112 I see there's conversion kits also hex bolt replacement options so wondering what u would do as I'm trying to put a8...

I would do the conversion kit. Keep in mind that you may need to get the speedo re-calibrated after, and there is a chance the larger wheels will rub the fender when turning sharply.

I want to buy alloys but unsure of my stud pattern

Well if you are not sure about stud pattern then go for the multi-stud alloys which are the best option that fits most vehicles easily. Even you may ask the wheel dealer like wheels.net which has wide pattern of alloy wheels for nearly every specific car models. Also you can get application manual over the internet that will suggest you about bolt pattern, offset, size and many things about your car.

Vw polo alloys, what other car will it fit

Other than VW, not many. May not be worth the troble of trying to see if any other foreign cars use the same size/design rims.
