Driving code to reset OBD for 2002 chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 3800 Catalytic Converter:I need driving code for resetting cars computer ( OBD)so it will pass smog,There's no problem with the parts it just reads not ready in the results,

Hi, remove the positive terminal cable from the battery using your pliers or wrench.

Go to your fuse box in your car, and look at the diagram. Select the fuse that is labeled "ECM" and remove this fuse. Sit the fuse aside for now.

Keep the car disconnected like this for two to three minutes to clear the computer's memory.

Insert the fuse back in to the box. Reconnect the battery terminal. Your car should now be reset.

The sensor may be stuck or the circuit may be shorted. Get shop manual and do the testing they describe. You can't reset it!

if you are trying to get the check engine light off then you need to get a scan tool to reset. autozone will do this for free. some choose to unplug the battery for about 5 or 10 minuets.

What codes and what do the messages say? Other than service traction control. For that you need to scan the ABS system for codes.

2002 Monte Carlo SS starting when it wants


The Starter silenoid is probably what the problem is. And the knocking could that be a loose starter? The two problems doesn't seem connected.
