Did you use the original key and lock cylinder? They are coded for the security system.

I can't start my 2002 chevy trailblazer after battery change. my keyless entry is damage and i fear it is the anti theft security system not allowing it to kick over, any suggestion to start?

Is the security light flashing? If it is, put the key in and turn all the way but don't start. Leave on for 10 min. Or until the security light stops flashing. Turn off and then try to start.

If the problem is no crank, could be the security system, key switch, neutral safety switch, starter, cables, or battery.
I would check for power at the starer and work back.
Did you try it in neutral ?

I have a 2002 chevy trailblazer lt and my security light stays on... would a new battery fix this if not what would?

The issue with the security light is more of a communication problem. The key has a transponder in the plastic head. This sends a signal to the ignion/lock cylinder. The ignition reads this signal, converts it to another signal and sends it down the line to the TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). The TDM is the main brain of the security system. If it gets the correct signal and everything is working properly, it will do its job just fine and allow the starter to start and the injectors to pulse like normal. If there is ANY break in the system ANYWHERE, then the TDM cant send the signal and the vehicle shuts down with no notice except the SECURITY light. Here is a site i found on the subject. Pretty informative.

I swap out the old engine for a working one .. now it wont start

This is commonly caused by your car anti-theft security system being triggered: you nornally would need to identify yourself to your car dealer and get them to reset this alarm for you.

I got out fo the car and hit the door lock, and the same time I open the back door. Now the car will not start

Check the inertia switch. It is usually in the trunk and has a reset button you press and hold for 3 seconds.

If that does not work and you have a keypad for the entrance system you may need to enter the code instead of using the keyless remote. You may have bothered the security system although this is not suppose to happen.
